The Chunya Tobacco Cooperatives Association (CHUTCU LTD) is a federation of Primary Cooperatives that cultivate the commercial crops of Chunya and Songwe Tobacco as well as food crops. The association was registered in the Government Register on 20/09/2000 for prospecting purposes and finally obtained permanent registration on 30/01/2003. The Association currently has a total of 30 active member associations from Chunya and Songwe districts and the Association’s offices are located in Chunya Town, Mbeya Region.
The vision of CHUTCU Ltd is to provide quality services to member cooperatives by adding value to the products produced by the cooperatives and ensuring the improvement of the social and economic development of their members.
The mission of CHUTCU Ltd is to improve services to member associations and ensure that they produce high quality tobacco to obtain attractive prices for their economic development.
